Our trip to New York had been very fruitful till now. We visited the museum of natural history, Radio city music hall, the huge Madison Square garden and the New York public library. We decided to now visit the Conservatory garden of New York. The only formal garden in Central Park, New York City, Conservatory Gardens comprises of 6 acres of land and was founded in the years 1898. Aaron was the most excited of us to visit this place.
The garden is divided into three main parts and inside there are many things to keep the children and people busy and entertained. The three parts of the gardens are the formal Italian garden, the French garden and an English garden.
The favourite among children in the central park is the sculpture of Alice in Wonderland in the mid park where children love climbing atop it and find places to play hide and seek. There is an area dedicated to Beatles singer and legend John Lennon called Strawberry Fields. The lake is also one of the main attractions of conservatory garden.

Inside the central Park we also paid a visit to the Belvedere castle made by Calvert Vaux its architect, this castle was also designed in the year 1898. The park was full of different arches, one such arch was the Huddlestone arch, which was indeed an engineering and construction wonder. It was beyond any doubt the most surprising of arches in the garden.
Overlooking the lake is the Bethesda terrace. It is a giant terrace with carvings which represent the four seasons. Conservatory garden was the most different man made parks I have ever visited so far. With so much greenery and beautification all around, one feels so close to nature inside the conservatory gardens.

The garden is like an oasis which is beautifully kept and preserved in the city. It is no doubt beautiful in all the seasons but definitely in springs the garden looks the most exotic when the flowers are blooming. The conservatory gardens are Central Park’s must visit attraction. It should be your top destination if you happen to be at New York City. Get your cameras ready and be prepared to be dazzled by the floral beauty the garden offers.
After the refreshing trip to the gardens we had a break for some refreshments after which it was time to head towards our next stop, Intrepid sea air and space museum of New York.
