‘Actions speak louder than words’. People are not half of who they say they are. They are not to be blamed cause the vile world and the timidity towards it has made them just speakers and not doers. But in due course a keen observation shed on their behavior will fetch us what we need to know about people.

Hello guys! This is your Diana Smith, and in this blog I am going to talk about one of the finest resorts in Goa. Being an event organizer by profession, I have always been surrounded with tons of work, and in such a stressful life, a trip to Goa seemed like a magic wand. Hence, with the purpose to shed down my stress, I along with my husband and our kid, Aaron, headed towards Goa, which is globally popular for its exotic beaches, vibrant nightlife, and beautiful greenery. If you are in Goa then it is must to consider a resort rather than a plain hotel. With the same enthusiasm, I had booked a family suite in Grand Mercure Goa Shrem Resort. Being a five star resort, I certainly had very high expectations from it. Fortunately, the service quality and interiors of the resort did not disappoint me in any way. In fact, my husband was also in praise of the sound professionalism and warm hospitality that the manager and the staff members had displayed during our stay. Grand Mercure Goa Shrem Resort: Warm Hospitality And Rich Interiors! Luxurious hotels have always grabbed my attention, and from the looks of this resort, it seemed absolutely stunning. I was in love with the interiors of the room, right from the day we checked in. Location is also something that I and my hubby liked a lot. The resort and the Candolim beach are just 500 meters apart; a perfectly walk-able distance. I do miss the strolls that we took towards the beach after our dinner. Spread across a vast area of 8,000 square feet, this lavish resort comprises of 121 rooms and the greenery around was a treat to our eyes. On the second day, I thoroughly enjoyed a spa session at the Balinese-themed spa inside the Grand Mercure Goa Shrem Resort; it really helped me in shedding away all the stresses that were clinging to my mind. The Hamam bath and the heated pool were also quite an attraction for me. For me and my husband, the days at Grand Mercure proved to be really unforgettable. Lamprais Dish - This is an ‘all wrapped in one banana leaf’ delicacy popular in the island country. Well packed and steamed banana leaf opens into a fleet of ethnic preparations which includes rice at the center, the Lampara curry (a mixture of spicy lamb, mutton and beef curry), spicy rice powder, pressed cutlet, fried veggies and a boiled fried egg served to fill the appetizing bliss.
Casa Colombo Hotel Srilanka - This traditional and luxurious palace of stay is nothing but refuge and solace for all those travel freaks and on the wheels geeks! The hotel exhibits nothing but a sheer visual treat, an ecstatic sensational experience with world- class hospitality all under one roof.
Happy Republic Day! May the democracy live long ensuring the protection of citizenry under the constitution. I take pride in being a part of a democracy. Visiting places of interest with the loved ones and the camera of course is the recipe of my celebration!
Greetings from your friend Diana Smith! An avid traveler and a doting mother I am writing down today my fun filled experience in the land of beaches that is Goa. I had been to this place before but this time it is with Aaron. We headed for the beautiful place by an early morning flight. Aaron was super excited. Once in Goa we took a cab to head for a lovely hotel that we had booked. We headed for Calangute and on the way got a glimpse of the beautiful place. Once in Calangute we asked the cabbie to take us to Khobra Vaddo which was our destination. Estrela do Mar Beach Resort is located at Khobra Vaddo, Calangute, Bardez in Goa. It is a lovely place. We headed for our room which we had booked beforehand. I had opted for a Swiss Cottage which was well designed and elegantly decorated. The cottage had air conditioning, color television, safe, tea/coffee maker, mini bar, and telephone. Aaron first wanted to have a dip in the swimming pool. We had breakfast at the Beach Side Shack. Then it was time for some sightseeing. Captured some lovely moments at Our Lady of Piety Chapel , Alorna Fort, Amthane Dam and Ancestral Goa Museum. It was evening and of course it was time to head to the Baga beach where Aaron simply loved the dolphin cruise. We headed back to Estrela do Mar Beach Resort. The resort has entertainment options like live music with instruments such as banjo, Tabla, guitar, sitar, Rajasthani folk dance, Goan dance, movies, DJ nights for its guests. We got the opportunity to enjoy DJ night, Goan Dance and Guitar during our four day stay. The patio restaurant of the hotel is lovely. We enjoyed some lip smacking food from across the world. On the final day of our stay we bought cashews and of course fenny. We also bought some artifacts which are typical of Goan culture. I also bought the authentic Goan vinegar which I wanted to use whenever I try cooking Goan food at home. Aaron was simply in love with the hotel and Goa itself. With great difficulty we had to drag him to the airport. We were home ward bound with wonderful memories of this lovely place. If one side of the coin of life is struggling, another side is discontent. While comparing ourselves to others’ highlight, we often forget that they have not been in our shoes. Considering us as our only competitors will help to learn, grow and achieve.
Taj Samudra Hotel Colombo - Offering the most lavish accommodation, the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo entices the tourists with assortment of facilities. The Colombo tour became even more memorable with the hotel’s traditional favorites to modern fusion cooking and other revivifying facilities.
This year just flew by; had a pretty hectic year, though I managed to find some leisure time for my family. I hope to find some more leisure time in the next year to visit Rajasthan as I like royal palaces and rich culture. I hope that this New Year brings you great success and joy.
Cesare Pavese is one of the most intelligent people I have read about. His sayings apply both on travelling as well as other walks of life. It is common sense to travel light if one wishes to make a journey in a short span of time. In real life he asks us to let go of negative emotions and move forward towards success.
