Taking some much needed rest at our hotel in Affiana gardens, we were ready to begin are travelling expedition. The first destination in our list was the American museum of Natural history. Being a lover of natural history and evolution of mankind, this particular museum was where I wanted to visit first.
American museum of natural history is situated at Manhattan, New York City. It was founded in the year 1869 and today it is one of the largest museums of the world. A trip to New York is incomplete without paying a visit to this amazing place. Having seen this museum in a number of Hollywood movies we were very excited to explore it personally.

The museum is spread in a very large area, around 27 interconnected buildings and has 45 exhibition halls in addition to a library with humungous collection of books and a planetarium. The museum has a collection of more than 30 million specimens of humans, animals, plants, minerals, fossils, etc.
The first hall we visited had a collection of mammals from Africa and Asia. We were completely awe struck to find out that so many different species of mammals exists on earth. The next hall comprised of the collection of birds, amphibians and reptiles. There was so much of knowledge engrossed in this museum for all of us.

The human origin and cultural hall has information on the origin and history of all the lands and different cultures around the world. From primitive African tribes to the ancient Shamans, from pro Latin American civilizations to ancient Asian societies the hall had us all enthralled in wonder. It seemed that the hall was a time machine which took us to those ancient times.
We then headed towards the Science halls. The Rose centre for Earth and space and the hall of meteorites looked like scenes straight out from some science fiction movie. The research library of the museum was very big. We were moved to see such a vast collection of books and journals on various topics available which are very difficult to find out anywhere else.
The visit to American museum of Natural history was quite a terrific one and we enjoyed each and every moment spent there. The next place in our list was the Radio City Music Hall.
